The Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF)
The Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) is the leading agency for CCDF and works to protect children, strengthen families, and promote adult self-sufficiency.
The Kansas Department for Health and Environment (KDHE)
The Kansas Department for Health and Environment (KDHE) is the state's leading agency for child care licensing.
The Kansas Children’s Cabinet and Trust Fund (KCCTF)
The Kansas Children’s Cabinet and Trust Fund (KCCTF) is directed by statute to undertake four overarching responsibilities:
- Advising the governor and the legislature regarding the use of money credited to the Children’s Initiatives Fund
- Evaluating programs which utilize Children’s Initiatives Fund money
- Assisting the Governor in developing and implementing a coordinated, comprehensive delivery system to serve children and families in Kansas
- Supporting the prevention of child abuse and neglect through the Children’s Trust Fund

Kansas Child Care Training Opportunities (KCCTO)
Kansas Child Care Training Opportunities (KCCTO) is a state-wide training office dedicated to providing quality, accessible, professional development opportunities to family child care providers, child care center staff, and other early education professionals throughout Kansas. KCCTO carries out professional development opportunities through the State Workforce Development grant and in collaboration with Kansas Inservice Training System (KITS) on the Infant-Toddler Specialist Network grant.
Child Care Aware of Kansas (CCAKS)
Child Care Aware of Kansas (CCAKS) is a bridge between those who experience the child care system every day – the real-life experts – and the leaders and influencers who aim to address child care challenges. Workingwithin a network of Child Care Resource & Referral agencies, we also connect caregivers and providers to the information and support they need. Some of the programs lead by Child Care Aware of Kansas include Child Care Health Consultants and Links to Quality.
Public Consulting Group (PCG)
Public Consulting Group (PCG) is a leading public sector management consulting and operations improvement firm that partners with health, education, and human services agencies to improve lives. They are working with DCF to support our CCDF Pandemic Relief Fund efforts and sustainability planning, as well as implementation of the Quality Improvement System, Links to Quality.
